What Does the Alternator Do?

The alternator in your vehicle is responsible for powering many of the devices that you come to depend on each time you drive your vehicle.

Having the charging system maintained each year will make sure that when you need your vehicle to be running effectively, it will be there for you. Most drivers assume that when things begin to fail that it is the battery because they are unaware how many things the alternator is actually powering.

If the alternator was unable to recharge, things would start failing one at a time. The alternator powers the windows, heater, air conditioning, headlights, interior lights, gauges on the dashboard, door locks, security system, seats, the car radio, the entertainment system, your GPS, and all those charging stations that power your devices.

Don't forget to have your car maintained every again when you get on a regular schedule with the mechanics here at Jaguar Grand Rapids.
